Tear Away Corner Bead
Tear-Away Bead is a vinyl drywall finishing trim used where drywall meets another surface such as windows, doors, ceilings, or concrete walls. It creates a clean, sharp edge and includes a removable tear-off strip that protects the adjacent surface while finishing.
What It Does
This bead is used to terminate drywall edges neatly without using wood trim or casing. After the drywall compound dries, the plastic strip is torn away, leaving a perfect straight edge.
Structure
-
Material: Rigid PVC / vinyl
-
Profile: L-shaped drywall edge trim
-
Tear-Off Strip: Temporary plastic tab that acts like built-in masking tape
-
Perforated Flange: Allows drywall compound to bond securely
The tear-off leg guides the taping knife and prevents compound from getting onto the adjacent surface during finishing.
